BRIEFING

BRIEFING

BRIEFING

I begin with an in-depth conversation with the client to understand more the brand, what stage they are in and what their goals and aspirations are. During the meeting, we explore what they already have, their existing identity or lack of it and what they would like to accomplish.

This lays the foundation of the entire project, helping define the visual direction, the tone as well as sets key values for the design to follow. For the first meeting it's also important to have key open questions for the client; they will help him better explain the product and the brand and it helps better understand his audience as well as his goals.

Business: Martina Nails

Client: Martina Enea

Place: Buenos Aires, Argentina 11/2020

This is the logo created for an Argentinean manicurist that was just beginning with her venture. Because of this she had no clear idea of who her customers where and what she needed. She was set on a monogram of her name and she wanted a delicate feel that also carried back some of her small town of Bariloche upbringing.

Once the brief is clear I begin sketching by hand, exploring a wide range of possibilities and exploring different ideas before refining proportions, shapes and relationship between elements. This analogue step allows a fast paced and intuitive interaction, where I focus on visual exploration and creativity.

This way I can identify strong and repetitive concepts, capturing the essence of the brand.

Business: AS design

Client: Ariadna De Lorenzo (Myself)

Place: Bariloche, Argentina 02/2020

Logo created when i started working as a freelance designer. Because it was created during the corona virus with no time limit, i had more time to play around with angles and small details.

With the main sketches selected I move on to the computer to create a digital version. Here I also define color palettes and the combination of fonts when needed. I then develop several alternatives according with the number previously agreed with the client. We review the options together, discussing what resonates, what doesn't and the reasons behind the preference.

Based on the feedback, I refine variations fine tuning until the final version is approved. I then create a polished version of the logo.
